We have been in beta testing for a while with some great SketchUp users before going live. Landscape architect Daniel Tal was one of our testers and noted that the cloud reduces animation render times, “The system is also ideal for rendering animations – putting them in reach for most companies and SketchUp users. Using the Shaderlight Cloud Rendering service allows designers to generate beautiful rendered animations clearly articulating design themes and ideas.†Eric Schimelpfenig, specialist in 3D solutions for kitchen and bathrooms and founder of Sketchthis.net, observed that the addition of cloud rendering to Shaderlight is a big speed improvement. In his own words: “This new version of Shaderlight takes your ordinary machine and straps a rocket pack to it. Renders have never looked so good, so fast.â€
Shaderlight Cloud Rendering, powered by Limitless Computing, is not even released yet and is already award-winning. We previewed Shaderlight Cloud Rendering at the American Institute of Architects 2012 convention in mid-May and it won runner-up in Architosh’s Best of Show AIA National Awards in the desktop category.
“Shaderlight deserves recognition as the first cloud-based rendering solution for Google’s popular SketchUp rendering program,†wrote Anthony Frausto-Robledo, publisher and editor-in-chief of Architosh. “With this unique solution, SketchUp users can produce photo-realistic renders of their models at up to 5x speeds faster than on the desktop and up to 128x faster at animations.â€
The Shaderlight Cloud Rendering plug-in uses the power of high-performance computers on the cloud to deliver high quality photo-realistic renderings fast without tying up your desktop. See a sneak preview now of the high quality and time savings you can expect with the new Shaderlight Cloud Rendering plug-in.
Shaderlight Cloud Rendering will be available June 2012!

Pricing for Revit Architecture 2011-2013 cloud rendering. The final price is based on image size and the number of lights. Every 25 lights increases the price by 1X for the corresponding image size.
We are revising our pricing for our CloudRender â„¢ service for Autodesk Revit Architecture so you can both predict a price and adjust your image to lower the price. Â The pricing remains upfront as always after you preview your scene but now is even easier because it is based on two factors: 1) the size of your rendered image and 2) the number of lights. The chart above gives an overview of the pricing for our high priority system that utilizes high performance computers on the cloud to render scenes. If you have a longer time frame, you can choose low priority at checkout and pay a lower price. Our CloudRender add-in is also compatible with Revit 2011 & 2012. Not familiar with CloudRender? Using the mental ray rendering engine, CloudRender offers upfront pricing, unlimited simultaneous renders, and custom material and RPC/entourage support. Need a walkthrough? Select “walkthrough” from the CloudRender add-in to receive a quote and we can deliver most walkthroughs and animations within 24 hours.

High and Low Priority Pricing
Today we are releasing an update to our CloudRender ™ for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture® 2011, an add-in that off-loads rendering to cloud computers and enables architects to continuing working in Revit. Version 1.1 introduces a new pricing feature: high and low priority pricing. (If you have received quotes from us, this system is familiar to you.) At checkout, you will see these two options.
- The high priority system is ideal for tight deadlines and utilizes a large amount of computing power to quickly deliver Revit renders. The price reflects the computing power required.Â
- If you choose the low priority option, your render will run on fewer computers and result in a lower price. Select this option if you have a longer timescale. The low priority system will render your scene faster than a local Revit system but slower than our high priority.
The low and high priority systems are ideal to meet both a wide variety of deadlines and budgets with the added benefit of freeing up local workstations and continuing to model in Revit Architecture. CloudRender™ Version 1.1 can be downloaded here.

Today I am pleased to announce the release of our newest add-in: CloudRender™ for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2011. The CloudRender add-in enables users to render faster directly from Revit using the power of cloud computing while continuing to model in Revit. Instead of tying up your local computer, CloudRender off-loads intensive rendering to our high performance systems. There is no loss of quality because Revit scenes render with mental ray® (the same photorealistic rendering engine found in Revit). CloudRender maintains the same camera view, entourage, custom materials and families, lighting, sun, sky, and transparency options (only faster!)
So how does it work?
1. Download and install add-in
2. Select render settings
3. Preview, checkout, and submit to cloud
4. Continue to work in Revit
This is a cloud service. All previews, done quickly on the cloud without tying up Revit, are free and unlimited. Pricing for final renders is upfront and automatically calculated based on the detail of your model and the size of the final image.
Great news! I am pleased to announce that LCI has been accepted into the Autodesk® Developer Network (ADN). As an Autodesk partner, we will now be developing custom add-ons for Autodesk® Revit® Architecture and other software products.  Our current offering is Limitless Rendering, an online rendering service for Revit Architecture that utilizes high performance computers on the cloud to render faster and free up local workstations. As a member of the ADN, we will expand cloud computing offerings in the AEC industry. Look for a new product release in the upcoming weeks.
