6Sight Future of Imaging Conference: we’ll be there in NYC!

Our very own Jeffrey Franklin will be part of the 6Sight Future of Imaging Conference next week in New York City. Jeff will participate in a panel session focusing on Intelligent Imaging and Augmented Reality on Tuesday, June 26th at 2:25pm in the Metropolitan Pavilion. The panel, including experts from MIT and Xerox, will discuss Augmented Reality, facial recognition, privacy issues, and more.

We are very pleased that we were invited and it is likely due to our background in Augmented Reality. This is demonstrated in our custom VYZAR 3D Augmented Reality that powers our SightSpace 3D mobile application for Apple and Android. If you are not familiar with SightSpace, it views SketchUp files in Augmented Reality by superimposing the digital designs in the real-world in real-time, enabling you to walk through the model by simply moving your device. Additional features include stereoscopic red/cyan 3D, annotate 3D models, bookmark favorite views, take screenshots, share notes and photos, and more.

AIA 2012 Recap: Shaderlight and Limitless Join Forces

During the AIA 2012 expo in Washington, DC, that took place in mid-May, we were demonstrating our new Shaderlight Cloud Rendering plug-in for SketchUp and new features for SightSpace 3D, our mobile viewer with Augmented Reality for SketchUp. In our booth we joined up with the good people of Shaderlight to show off Shaderlight Cloud Rendering (launching June 2012) which is the first, and only, SketchUp rendering plug-in to use the power of fast computers on the cloud to deliver high quality photorealistic renderings fast without tying up your desktop.

Shaderlight Cloud Rendering Wins AIA Best in Show

Shaderlight Cloud Rendering, powered by Limitless Computing, is not even released yet and is already award-winning. We previewed Shaderlight Cloud Rendering at the American Institute of Architects 2012 convention in mid-May and it won runner-up in Architosh’s Best of Show AIA National Awards in the desktop category.

“Shaderlight deserves recognition as the first cloud-based rendering solution for Google’s popular SketchUp rendering program,” wrote Anthony Frausto-Robledo, publisher and editor-in-chief of Architosh. “With this unique solution, SketchUp users can produce photo-realistic renders of their models at up to 5x speeds faster than on the desktop and up to 128x faster at animations.”

The Shaderlight Cloud Rendering plug-in uses the power of high-performance computers on the cloud to deliver high quality photo-realistic renderings fast without tying up your desktop. See a sneak preview now of the high quality and time savings you can expect with the new Shaderlight Cloud Rendering plug-in.

Shaderlight Cloud Rendering will be available June 2012!

SightSpace 3D New Features Sneak Peek at AIA 2012

Dog House SKP

Why is this image so special? Other than the adorable puppy?

We are previewing new features for our SightSpace 3D mobile application for Google SketchUp at the American Institute of Architects convention in Washington, DC this week (May 17-19) in Booth #1908. The dog house included in this post is a clue to one of our features because it is very special. If you are not familiar with SightSpace, it views Google SketchUp files on Apple and Android devices in Augmented Reality by superimposing the digital designs in the real-world in real-time, enabling you to walk through the model by simply moving your device. Additional features include stereoscopic red/cyan 3D, annotate 3D models, bookmark favorite views, take screenshots, share notes and photos, and more.

Easy Render Pricing on the Cloud: CloudRender for Revit Architecture

Pricing

Pricing for Revit Architecture 2011-2013 cloud rendering. The final price is based on image size and the number of lights. Every 25 lights increases the price by 1X for the corresponding image size.

We are revising our pricing for our CloudRender â„¢ service for Autodesk Revit Architecture so you can both predict a price and adjust your image to lower the price.  The pricing remains upfront as always after you preview your scene but now is even easier because it is based on two factors: 1) the size of your rendered image and 2) the number of lights. The chart above gives an overview of the pricing for our high priority system that utilizes high performance computers on the cloud to render scenes. If you have a longer time frame, you can choose low priority at checkout and pay a lower price. Our CloudRender add-in is also compatible with Revit 2011 & 2012. Not familiar with CloudRender? Using the mental ray rendering engine, CloudRender offers upfront pricing, unlimited simultaneous renders, and custom material and RPC/entourage support. Need a walkthrough? Select “walkthrough” from the CloudRender add-in to receive a quote and we can deliver most walkthroughs and animations within 24 hours.
